Deliverables

Main and sub-brand logos, motion graphic, branding applications

The brief

The Intergovernmental Panel On Climate change, or IPCC, evaluates scientific reports regarding climate change and creates synthesis reports. The IPCC plays a significant role in our planet’s future as its assessments are used as a key input for policymakers.

This project conceptualizes a fresh and contemporary visual identity for the IPCC.

Original logo vs. new

Main Logo Concept

The new IPPC logo uses global climate maps to form the organization’s acronym in abstracted letterforms. This climate map motif creates a unique visual language used throughout the branding. The new tagline is a fun alliteration that conveys the main goal of the organization. The vibrant and energetic colors strive to provide hope and optimism for the future.

Sub-brands

The IPCC is split into four sub-brands. The sub-brand logos combine the climate map motif with a symbolic object. This provides layers of conceptual depth. The colors for each sub-brand are taken from the IPCC main logo.
